A Real Win: Better Join Great Expectations these United States
Sometimes I hate to say it, ’cause I didn’t always have Great Expectations for my dating life. Here’s the scoup, yesterday I ate a whole bag of Oreos. As a coping mechanism that comes from being alone, for once. Don’t judge me (j/k!). Is that even legal? Actually, that’s when I seriously thought about meeting new singles in Denver or Dallas.
Nothing that can’t be fixed. I can mix up my social life thru professionally hosted Denver singles events. Probably sounds like a plan. My dating life is worth bringing up. When I was a little tipsy at little Brent’s Easter egg hunt in Denver two weeks ago, my sister wanted to know if I’ve met the woman I’m going to marry. I don’t know why they even care. Anyway, I looked up at them and yelled, “I’m working on it, chill out.”
Even “The Twerp” (my nephew, age 9) chimed in on the topic of marriage. I quipped to all of them: “Seriously, my romantic destiny is right over there!”
Can you believe this? They smiled politely. Perturbed, I called Dave just to get some perspective. What a waste of time! I can’t imagine what I was thinking there. Doug, who was a fellow Ram in high school (go Rams!) offered his opinion that I join Great Expectations. I said, “That’s what I was going to do.” See, everything always works out. I especially enjoy the singles at Great Expectations Dallas.
Early on, singles events and mixers were new from my perspective. I was a bit nervous at first, that I noticed I wore mismatched socks by accident. That slight disaster could not bring an end to a great time. The evening was a limo pub crawl from heaven. The truth is I’ll never forget all the other members, some who are my new friends.
It’s been a pleasure to party at these splendid Dallas singles events, I met a collection of dynamite friends that obviously have similar ideas which made for a magnificent singles event. Can’t imagine why I used to let anyone give their two cents about me being single at my age. Awesomely enough, dating with Great Expectations is enjoyable and just what I’ve been looking for.
